Distillery Reflections Part V - Tormore

Tormore Distillery is a lesser-known Scotch whisky distillery located in the Speyside region of Scotland. Founded in 1958, it is relatively young compared to some of the other famous distilleries in the area. However, Tormore has gained a reputation for producing high-quality single malt whiskies that are highly sought after by enthusiasts. One of the unique aspects of Tormore's whisky is the use of a complex, four-stage water filtration system, which is said to contribute to the whisky's purity and smoothness.
Recently acquired from Pernod-Ricard Chivas by Elixir Distillers in 2022.

The Tormore Distillery is set to open for visitors soon , offering a range of tours and tastings to those who are lucky enough to secure a spot. Visitors can learn about the history of the distillery, as well as the whisky-making process, and sample some of the distillery's most famous expressions, including the Tormore 12 Year Old and the Tormore 16 Year Old.

While it may not be as well-known as some of the other distilleries in the area, Tormore Distillery is a gem that catches your eye on the way to Speyside and that is well worth a visit for any whisky enthusiast. With its commitment to quality and innovation, and its unique water filtration system, Tormore is a distillery that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

We love Tormore so much we even made it into one of our Distillery Reflections! We have captured each reflection in fused glass and each piece is truly unique. the scene is made up of tiny pieces of fused glass completed by our local glass artists Emma Fitzgerald and finished by Angels' Share Glass to form this wonderful homeware set. The set includes a tasting glass and backlit whisky scented candle.
These beautiful artists' impressions of your favourite distilleries are exquisitely lit with a whisky-scented candle and are enhanced by a real oak stave made from whisky barrels and a Spirits Glass to allow you to
REMINISCE, RELAX AND PONDER OUR GLORIOUS SPIRIT
