The start of this week saw the launch of Season 5 of Outlander, like most people we naturally sat down to watch - after a hard day of work, of course.
Outlander tells the story of a young nurse Claire, played by Caitriona Balfe, who is holidaying in Scotland with her husband in 1945, she happens upon some sacred stones which take her back in time to 1743. In this parallel time frame, she marries Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, a Scottish warrior and handsome character. Their relationship starts the story of two very different lives.
The Outlander fanbase is immense, with fans from every corner of the globe. We are fortunate enough to live particularly close to some of their typical filming spots, but never close enough to get a sneak peek. Angels' Share Glass also happen to have some family connections to one of Outlander's stars, do you think you can guess who?
Sam Heughan being the proud Scotsman that he is, naturally owns one of our Whisky Tasting Sets and of course, us being massive fans of the show helps too.
Sassenach Whisky launches on the 2nd of March in the US, a date is yet to be confirmed for the UK. We can't wait to get our hands on some, it is sure to fly off the shelves.
