Distillery Reflections Part I - Lagavulin

Lagavulin Distillery is a renowned whisky distillery located on the Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland. It was founded in 1816 and is famous for its distinctively peaty and smoky single malt whiskies!

Lagavulin's whisky is known for its intense and complex flavour profile, with notes of seaweed, smoke, and hints of sweetness. The distillery uses traditional methods to create its whiskies, including the use of peat fires to dry the malted barley, which gives the whisky its smoky flavour.
