Celebrating 25 Years of Arran Distillery!

Did you know that production started at Arran Distillery in Lochranza almost 25 years ago?

In those 25 years they have distilled and matured some great whiskies including some sought after drams;
Devils' Punch Bowl, White Stag, Icons of Arran, Machrie Moor and Smugglers' Series.

Lochranza wasn't Arran Distillerys' first and only choice for their new distillery, but Lochranza benefitted from being close to Loch na Davie which gave them access to an amazing fresh water source and the opportunity to produce great whisky.

'Every drop of Arran Single Malt starts its life as rainwater which pools at Loch na Davie in the beautiful hills behind the distillery.  The clear water cascades down the hillside, through six unassuming waterfalls, each one purifying the water further. The name of the burn, Easan Biorach, means 'Sharp Waterfalls' in Gaelic. The purity of our water means that we can create a clean, sweet dram which is entirely natural and unadulterated.'

Over the years we have been given countless opportunities to work with and alongside Arran Distillery. We were given the chance to craft some Glass Quaichs for them, complete with Lagg Distillery engraving. 

Back in 2016, we had the amazing opportunity to have a stand at the Arran Festival, we decided a Glassblowing Experience was the best way to showcase our business as a whole and show just how special Angels' Share Glass truly is. This allowed visitors to see what really happens in our studio and how amazing the craft of glassblowing is. Our chief glassblower Tom Young MBE gave multiple demonstrations of some our products and the different techniques involved in crafting them which in turn showed our audience just how incredibly unique our glassware is.
