On Thursday 24th March our Director Karen and our operations Manager Emmet travelled down to London for the first in person awards since 2019.
The Awards were held at the Honourable Artillery Company in London to celebrate the global winners of the 2022 Icons of Whisky and World Whiskies Awards, as well as honouring the latest inductees to the prestigious Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame.
The evening started in the fabulous venue as all awards do with bubbles and lots of chat, in fact people were so glad to be in a room face to face I'm sure they could have chatted all night.
The Awards was an extensive listed of worldwide brands and distillers which was intermixed with a Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons tribute act, between courses and the stream of winners.
Angels' Share Glass sponsored a few categories of the awards this year along with presenting all the judges with their glass water droppers.

Special congratulations to Sullivans' Cove. Their Master Distiller Heather Tillott travelled all the way from Tasmania to join the celebrations. Craft Distiller of the Year.

Also new inductees into the prestigious Hall of Fame were legends such as Garvin Brown of Brown Forman, Thierry Bénitah CEO La maison du whisky, Paul P. John, chairman of John Distilleries and Jota Tanaka, master blender at Kirin Brewing Company.
