Distillery Reflections Part III - Glenmorangie

Glenmorangie Distillery is a well-known Scotch whisky distillery located in the northern Highlands of Scotland. Founded in 1843, it has a long and rich history of producing high-quality single malt whiskies. One of the unique aspects of Glenmorangie's whisky is the use of the tallest stills in Scotland, which allow for a purer and smoother spirit. The distillery also uses a range of casks for maturation, including bourbon, sherry, and wine casks, which impart distinctive flavours and aromas to the whisky.

In addition to its classic expressions, Glenmorangie has a reputation for innovation, and has released a range of experimental whiskies in recent years. These experimental releases have been highly acclaimed by critics and enthusiasts alike, and demonstrate the distillery's commitment to pushing the boundaries of whisky-making.

Glenmorangie Distillery welcomes visitors all year round, offering a range of tours and tastings to suit all interests and budgets. Visitors can learn about the distillery's history and the whisky-making process, as well as sample some of the distillery's most famous expressions, including the Glenmorangie Original, the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, and the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or.
