Dec 17 - Wemyss Malts - Applewood Bake (Invergordon 26 year old)

Nose: quite a grassy example of grain whisky with cut grass, apple juice, vanilla, oak and some cereal notes of toasted bread. 

Palate: Rather sugary with roasted marshmallows, French toast, almond croissant, pink praline & cupcake icing. This may sounds like a real feast but beware if you don't necassily have a sweet tooth ;) 

Finish: medium with peppery notes

Food Pairing: fresh fruit salad
