P.s- If you haven't already make sure you check out Part I of our Distillery Tour musts!

Starting off our list with the Lowland we have our first distillery recommendation of today's blog post:

Tour prices from £12.50

The Lindores Abbey Distillery is famously known for its rich history and the countless historical events which have taken place in the distillery since it's opening in 1181. With a history of Distilling scotch whisky since 1494, it's definitely worth a visit. Not only for the history but more importantly for the whisky and craftsmanship.

Lindores Abbey Distillery & Whisky water Droppers

Tour prices from £16

The Holyrood Distillery is located in the heart of Scotland; Edinburgh. It is recognisable as a more modern distillery having opened in 2018 and is well known for being the first malt-whisky distillery in Edinburgh for almost 100 years after the closing of the 'Newington Distillery' in 1925. Nonetheless, despite it's young age the Holyrood distillery is a gorgeous modern style building specialising in malt whisky and gin. We have a share in a cask there and can't wait to see how it develops in 10 years or so.

Moving onto (almost) Highlands we have two more distillery recommendations on our list

Deanston

Tour prices from £15

Previously a cotton mill, Deanston distillery is located on the banks of the River Teith, Doune and is best known for producing Single Malt Scotch Whisky for now over 56 years. The Deanston Distillery offers multiple tours & whisky tastings to suit whatever your heart desires. It is also one of the Distilleries featured in The Angels' Share Film.

Tour prices from £18

Famously known for their variety of single malt ages. From 10 year old bottles to the perfect balance of the 18 Year Old. Or even the 21 year old whisky if you fancy. The Glengoyne Distillery is located in the North of Glasgow amongst the beautiful greenery which surrounds it. It too featured in the Angels' Share Film and is one of our featured Distillery reflections.
