The Queen of The Hebrides is an affectionate term for the Isle of Islay on the inner hebridean islands off the West coast of Scotland.
This Angel of The Hebrides features a sample of 20 year old Single malt Whisky from Lagavulin Distillery on Islay. Matured in refill casks and PX/Oloroso seasoned hogsheads. These casks were personally selected by Distillery Manager Colin Gordon. The bottle was released to celebrate the 2020 Feis Ile Festival which sadly due to Covid had to be cancelled. This bottle is number 3042/6000. Lagavulin is one of the Classic Diageo owned Distilleries and sits on the island's south coast. Tasting notes echo smoky aromas with a creamy, slightly oily texture and lots of dried fruit, raisins, with a hint of wood and a spice finish.
The Angel of The Hebrides features an 18ct Gold application on the wings and a Gold Crown with glass stones; each Angel is filled with 25ml of Lagavulin 20-Year-Old Whisky. Each one is hand blown and hand decorated, and each detail is all done by the eye.
The Angel sits on a refashioned oak barrel stand lined with beautiful Scots tartan—beautifully presented in a gift box. Each Angel is individually numbered on the base and comes with a card of authentication for the Lagavulin Whisky.

The Angels' Share Whisky Angel is a truly unique piece of hand-blown glass. Every single angel is uniquely designed to hold whisky through a secret process, known only to the highly skilled craftsmen who have created it.
Holding 25ml of Scotch whisky, this remarkable design and craftsmanship allow the spirit to be captured in the molten glass without combusting.
Approximately 70mm in height, the angel is beautifully boxed in a gift box and comes complete with a delightful story and card of authentication.
A true legend in Scotland's whisky-making history, "The Angels' Share" is a term for the measure of a distilled spirit's volume that is lost to evaporation whilst the whisky is maturing in its cask or barrel.
The whisky is not for drinking and is completely sealed to keep your favourite dram forever. After all, "it's not your whisky; it's the angel's share".
