To celebrate World Chocolate Day, we have decided to reminisce over some of our favourite Whisky and chocolate combos from a few of our favourite tastings.

We have been lucky enough to be involved in some amazing tastings over the year. Some of the best have included pairings like, Guinness, oatcakes and of course chocolate!

"Pairing chocolate with whisky is an interesting exercise, since it is an assault on all your senses. Chocolate coats the mouth and tongue, blunting your taste buds, and whisky's complex aromas overwhelm the nose. But it's worth the effort, because when the combination is right, it really sings."

We have tried some really great chocolate and whisky pairing's especially from chocolatiers like Iain Burnett The Highland Chocolatier based in the Highlands of Scotland His chocolates are award winning and  pair perfectly with certain whiskies,  like Raspberry Velvet Truffle with a 10 year old speyside whisky. They are known for their tasting flights also.
