Dec 10 – A.D Rattray – 2007 Glenallachie 8yo

Nose : Oh My ! This is deliciously sweet and gourmet :D Buttery vanilla, toasties with pineapple jam, orange blossom-flavoured brioche, caramel, white chocolate & honey. A real sugary feast for the nose !

Palate : I don’t know if it’s the fact that I have wrongly tasted the peaty Loch Lomond before, but I feel a certain earthiness in this dram too, which I hadn’t detected at all in the nose, very surprising (but now that I get back to it… I do) !

Also, if the nose suggested some fruity notes, the mouth is getting huge on fruits with apricots, peaches, tropical & dried fruits – a bit of a « pot pourri » with also some floral notes that come say hi !

Finish : soft and lingering.

Food Pairing : açaï bowl
