By Director Karen Somerville;
We very rarely travel to London, but having the opportunity to share our journey as a Scottish Manufacturing and Retailing Company in London to a room of fellow Scots, we decided to make the trip and also visit some of our key customers whilst in London too.
The Scottish Business Network is now in its fifth year founded by Russell Dalgleish and Christine Esson. what a team! The Scottish Business Network gathers business owners, entrepreneurs and industry leaders in frequent networking sessions, most of which are held in London. Members have the chance to share their stories and share their "ASK" for the company. It is a welcoming, almost family and friends like environment and an excellent way to reach out to hIgh quality connections.
Tuesday's event was to be held in the iconic Walkie Talkie Building in Fenchurch Street. Given my fear of heights it was actually an achievement just getting me in the lift to the 33rd floor.
Our Ask was to connect with large corporate companies who offer events and gifting opportunities for their own clients, of which we could supply and bespoke a very tailored service.
The audience of members did not disappoint and seemed fully engaged with our story, our development and our ask and we made several good opportunities to further discussions and make positive business leads. Thank you to all the members who passed on cards and details that may open doors for us and that is key to this type of business networking success.
I quickly realised that The Diaspora of Scots are only too willing to assist in our company's progress.
As specialist Glassware manufacturers we can offer many businesses a unique and totally bespoke service.
I'm an advocate of Scottish Business and especially female led Businesses. I would thoroughly recommend engaging and joining the growing list of committed members to Scottish Business Network.
Thank you to the team for their continued support and all the other guest speakers on the evening..
